Pelvic venography

Radiologist

While ultrasound, CT scan and MRI can be useful for detecting or specifying pelvic varices, it is selective pelvic venography that confirms the diagnosis and performs the pre-treatment workup. Phlebography is the gold standard for the treatment of pelvic varicose veins. It is a non-invasive endovascular treatment which is carried out under simple sedation. It allows anatomical and hemodynamic venous mapping.
